Gibraltar's Sovereignty Not Part Of Brexit Negotiations

Gibraltar's Government has noted confirmation from Spain that it will not pursue its sovereignty claim over Gibraltar as part of Brexit talks.

While acknowledging Gibraltar's status has been discussed by the UK in individual meetings with the other 27 EU member states and with EU institutions, Gibraltar's Government says it will not be providing a running commentary on the sensitive negotiations.

It says it is fully involved in the Brexit negotiations being led by UK Prime Minister, Theresa May, and that there are no separate bilateral talks between the UK and Spain underway.
